Description
El Disparate de Potter offers one of the most spectacular views of the department of Matagalpa. The restaurant is located about 13 kilometers away from this city, along the road to Jinotega.
The establishment is set in a natural environment, with trees and plants surrounding it. Even within the premises, there are nice plants including a wide variety of orchids. Groups of monkeys can be seen in the trees around the restaurant.
Disparate de Potter serves traditional Nicaraguan food, as well as seafood and meat. There are several ambiances here. In addition to the two-story building, there are small outdoor ranchos, and due to the elevation, El Disparate de Potter has a fresh mountain climate.
The view reaches not only to the valley below but far beyond. On a clear day, volcanoes like the Cerro Negro or Momotombo can be seen from the restaurant! During the raining season the view can be limited, but the clouds create an mystical atmosphere.
There is a special viewpoint that provides the most magnificent view. There is a small fee to access this viewpoint. Restaurant El Disparate de Potter also provides a conference room for up to 150 people. There are also some lodging options available.
It is also possible to rent a country house, located one kilometer away from the restaurant, whether it is for a short or a long visit. For further info, contact the restaurant's administration department.

nice view but horrible service and ok food, my sons hamburger was suppose to be plain but it had everything on it. when we told them they took it to the kitchen and scraped it off and gave us a cold nasty burger! they also argued and embarassed us for asking why we got stale potato chips instead of french fries like the menu says and were told the french fries were on the burger?what! then were told that french fries only came with chicken wasted about $30 bucks there Go to Salve Negra much better in every way

Absolutely the best food and service I had in the 10 days I spent in Nicaragua. Breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and the longest most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. If you get a chance rent the bungalow and spend the night, highly recommended. Can't wait to go back, it was one of the highlights of my trip.

I admire this lady for all the hard work she has done. she is my mother and my angel. It is beautiful specially because her work and her dreams are in there.

This place is the greatest. One of the highlights of our trip. The food is magnficent, the view is unbelievable and the woman who runs it, Delia, is fantastic as well. This is a must for everyone who visits the region. You can even stay here and rent a little hut "casita" from Delia. The casitas have a patio and fireplace. It is a great escape. I highly recommend it.
