Description
This is the restaurant of the Selva Negra Mountain Resort, which is located on a beautiful spot, next to the small lake and with the imposing mountain right in front. Architecturally, the restaurant is unique in Nicaragua, since its owners designed it themselves and were inspired by a German train station.
The authentic German atmosphere given by the design and decoration is further emphasized by the photos, paintings, tools, and more historic items displayed that date back to the arrival and settling of German settlers in the 19th century.
Here, clients can enjoy authentic Nicaraguan and German food, as well as other international dishes. Homegrown organic vegetables and estate produced milk, coffee, and cheese are served at the restaurant. Also, there is a buffet on Sunday.
Furthermore, the establishment is open for visitors who are here just for the nature activities. Read more about the restaurant and see some sample meals on the Selva Negra website.

The food is fresh, more-than-local, and delicious. Selva Negra produces all its own eggs, milk, cream, butter and cheese, as well as most of the meat and vegetables served in the restaurant. And pastry chef Roy Martinez makes the most spectacular cakes and desserts. His Mocha Cake, made from the estate's coffee and cacao, is unbeatable!
