La Ceiba route
Description
The tour begins in the house of Doña Martha, a member of the community then start walking down an uneven and bumpy road to grazing lands and a paddock. Then you will enter in the reforestation area where you will find: mahogany, teak, neem and other plantations.
You descend down a slope and climb again to get to the area knonw as "el barillal" a lot of saplings planted for reforestation in the area. On the way you can see birds and their nests and mammals. Then you descend to Ochomogo river and climb again to La Ceiba Viewpoint where you can see the forests, mountains and communities in the surrounding area.
After walking two hours, it is time to stop to eat some snacks. Next you will see "La Ceiba", a tree about 20 meters high and 150 years ago. This type of tree is not very common and is gradually disappearing.
The tour continue visiting areas where the community grows rice, cassava and beans. Then you will get to the dam of La Cueva river, which has more than 50 years and is now used to irrigate some crops and also is a good place to take a bath. To finish the tour, you return all the way back to Doña.Martha's house.

Cancellation Without Penalty:
Cancellations made at leats 48 hours prior to tour day will not incur in any penalties.
Cancellation Penalties:
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours prior to tour day will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount. In case of no-use of the reserved service, 50% of the total reservation amount will be charged. These amounts will be additionals to the 10% reservation (no refundable) already payed to assure the booking.
