Coatlán Tour
Description
The National Park Maderas Volcano is located in Ometepe Island. It shelters one of the best conserved forests of Nicaragua, created by the influence between the humidity of the Caribbean area, the particularities of the Pacific zone and its location in the biggest water reservoir of Central America: The Cocibolca Lake.
The adventure begins in the morning. We will walk towards the Reserve entrance at the Ecological Shelter El Porvenir. This place has amazing panoramic views of the Concepción Volcano and Playa Santo Domingo, it is also surrounded by petroglyphs.
After 1 hour tour through forests and crops areas we will reach one of the best viewpoints of the Maderas Volcano: El Porvenir Viewpoint. This site has benches so we can rest a little and enjoy the beautiful view. From this point the weather turns colder and the slopes tougher. From time to time, howler monkeys and birds can be heard.
After a long walk we will get to the beautiful lagoon of the Maderas Volcano where you can take a bath or rest in its shores.
To give you an even greater experience, the return will be through other trail: The Magdalena Trail. Normally the descent is easier and faster than the ascent, however it depends on the physical and mental condition of the tourist.
The tour ends at Hotel Finca Magdalena, an antique plantation house of wood property of 25 local families part of a cooperative of Rural Tourism. At Finca Magdalena the tourist can have different services and buy organic products like coffee and honey.

- Bring sunblock, comfortable clothes, repellent, shirt with long sleeves , shoes to climb and a hat to protect yourself from the sun or rain.

Cancellation Without Penalty:
Cancellations made at least 7 days before the tour or package will not incur any penalties.
Cancellation Penalties:
Cancellations made with less than 7 days before the tour or package will be charged 50% of the remaining amount made for the reservation.
In case of no-use of the reserved service, 50% of the remaining amount made for the reservation will be charged. These amounts will be additionals to the 10% reservation (no refundable) already payed to assure the booking.
