V International Contemporary Dance Festival of Solos and Duos

60 dancers from 7 countries will participate in this new edition of the Festival.

For the fifth consecutive year, Rubén Darío National Theater is pleased to invite you to its International Contemporary Dance Festival of Solos and Duos, which will take place on November 6th and 7th at 7pm. The representations will be held in the Sala Experimental Pilar Aguirre in the National Theater, with a symbolical cost of C$150.

Thanks to the recognition that the Festival has been acquiring throughout the years for its artistic quality, the public will be able to see in action 60 artists from the United States, El Salvador, México, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

Sandra Gómez, Founder of the International Contemporary Dance Festival and Director of the Compañía Arte y Danza, explained that this new edition wanted to give a significant role to the youth. “Our intention is to promote the youth and the Nicaraguan art and that is why, we invited, for the first time, at the Academies and Schools of Dance from Managua, as well as independent dancers”, commented the teacher.

As part of the commitment of the Festival towards youths, two master classes were organized in the Centro-American University (UCA) with professional dancers on November 3rd and 4th. A show will also be given on November 5th at 3pm in the Aula Magna from the UCA, for free.
