Description

Eco Albergue El Pilar is managed by Community-based Rural Tourism Cooperative Pilas-El Hoyo (which offer interesting tours in the volcanoes area). It is located 7 kilometers (4 miles) from Cerro Negro Volcano, in a rustic country surrounding. You can enjoy tranquiliy and rural life in an country-side infrastructure made of local wood, volcanic stones and thatched roofs.

There are 3 bedrooms: a single with private bathroom and 2 doubles; and there is also a shared dorm for up to 8 guests. Beds have mosquito net. All prices include breakfast.

You can find hammocks outside for a quiet nap or reading. There is also the dining rancho, and near a "iguanario" (little iguana farm) where you can appreciate this shy reptile.

In El Pilar you can have a break from the city routine, and is the lodging option nearest to Cerro Negro Nature Reserve and its beautiful area.
