Description

The Community-based Rural Tourism cooperative 'Pilas-El Hoyo' was founded in 2005 and has 10 members in charge of the maintenance of 'Los Maribios' Interpretation Center, the Ecolodge El Pilar and a central office in the city of León.

The ecolodge is built with volcanic stones and located 4 miles from the Cerro Negro Volcano. It is a quiet place fully connected with the environment. It has 4 rooms equipped with mosquito nets, night stand, private or shared bathroom. Rooms can be singles, matrimonials or shared dorms.

Their tours specialty is hiking in the volcanic range 'Los Maribios'. These tours are managed from 'Los Maribios' Interpretation Center, located in Las Pilas-El Hoyo Nature Reserve.
