This package includes:
Day 1 – Natural Jinotega
City Tour
The tour begins with a visit to the Jinotega city icon 'La Peña de la Cruz'. From this spot you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city and mountains. Later, the next stop will be at the San Juan Cathedral and its beautiful altarpiece (unique piece in the country). The journey continues towards Soopexca Producers Cooperative where you can taste the best coffee in the region.

Lunch in La Perrera Restaurant
A cozy place with the best service is what you will receive at La Perrera Restaurant. Its name was given by a 'guardia nacional' (Somoza's national guard) colonel before the revolution.

After lunch, the tour will begin at the tourist boardwalk Sisle. Here, a boat ride will be waiting for you. Acuática is the tourist company that will give you the complete ride through Apanás lake. During this ride, 'El Conejo' and 'Isla de las Garzas' islets will be visited. Both islets are known for welcome many aquatic birds.

Visit to the Bufet Soda El Tico Restaurant
The last stop will be at Bufet Soda El Tico where you can taste their menu and will get to know more about their history.

Diner and Lodging in Hotel Café Jinotega / End of the day

Day 2 – History and Adventure
Visit to La Brellera canopy and Tepeyac chapel
After breakfast at Hotel Café, the tour will continue towards the colorful town of San Rafael del Norte. Here you will take a canopy tour at La Brellera. This is the only canopy in Nicaragua among a pine forest.

Later you will visit museums dedicated to the life and work of the Priest Odorico de Andrea. As well, you will find a wide collection of trees, rocks and fossils founded in the department of Jinotega. The next stop will be the Tepeyac Chapel. In this place is located the grave of Odorico de Andrea.

Visit to the San Rafael Church
All the interior details, paints by the artist Juan Fuch and different interpretations of the paintings according to a local historian as well as San Rafael del Norte history are included in this visit. In this church Blanca Arauz married the General Augusto César Sandino.

Lunch at Casita San Payo
Casita San Payo is a 'must stop' place. Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

Visit to the black ceramic workshops Las Cureñas
Rural Tourism is included in this package with the visit to the black ceramic workshops 'Las Cureñas'. This women, from one generation to the next continued with their grandparents work.
